Challenge #285

Hi folks! Glad you could stop by.
As always, we start out with a photo for the week. I have chosen this one of a bee leaving a sunflower as I just love the activity of the bees in our sunflowers and this is the first one I was able to capture.
Don't fret, I think there will be more to come. LOL!

On to our top cards for challenge #283; here they are in no particular order...

Wow!  Great cards, ladies!  Congrats to you and a warm thank you to all who played.

Our sketch this week is courtesy of Kaylin;  thank you so much.  And the optional technique is EMBOSSING.
Here are the inspirational samples from our team:

Awesome, team!  Thanks so much for the beautiful cards.  I cannot wait to see what everyone creates from our sketch and with the help of your inspiration.

Challenge #284

Good day, everyone!  Hope all is well with each of you and your families.  We at Try' Stampin' are so glad you stopped by.
Our photo this week is one I have been waiting o show you; not because I was excited about the photo but because our sunflowers have started to bloom.
This is my favourite time of the summer as the sunflowers bring the bees and there is so much action around our deck.

On to our top cards from challenge #282.  Here they are (in random order:

Wow!  There were just too many great cards to stop at three.  Congrats to EVERYONE who participated this week.  All of the cards rock!   And a round of applause for our top five!

Challenge #283

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Glad you could stop by.  It has been very hectic for me lately as I have actually "come out of retirement" and started going into an office.  You see, I was an at-home travel agent (but the "at-home" part was not doing so well) so I go into work 3-4 days a week now.  It is different and am learning to manage my time again.  As a result, I sometimes do not get as much "fun stuff" done - just like all of you.  But enough about me...

Our photo this week is one of a little chickadee.  Our back yard is full of them right now.

On to the top cards for challenge #281:

Great cards, ladies!  Congrats to the top three and thank you to everyone who took the time to enter this challenge

Our sketch for this week has the optional theme, It's a Surprise.  Use it or not, it is up to you.
And here are the cards from the team. (No surprise here, they are all amazing!)

Beautiful cards, ladies - as always.  You are so inspirational and so creative.  I am certain our viewers will want to take up the challenge after seeing your cards.

Remember, everyone, our challenge runs for two weeks (until August 22nd) and you can enter below or by posting on our Facebook page.  Happy card making!

Challenge #282

Hello and happy Tuesday!
We are in the middle of a real heat spell here ...and I love it!  But it is hard to sit down and do "inside stuff" when the weather is so perfect.  Also, this week being the first in our series of holiday themed weeks, it is HARD to think of the holidays.

Our photo is one I took in our garlic garden.  It is hard to imagine this pretty clover flower sitting amongst the pungent garlic but there it was - all by itself.

On to our top cards from challenge #280:

Beautiful cards, all!  Congrats....and thanks to everyone who played along.

Our sketch this week is kind of a fun one (I love circles)  and the OPTIONAL theme is Anything Holiday related.  There is also an optional technique - beading.  Use either or both or neither.  It is up to you.
And here are the cards from the talented ladies on our team:

Stunning, ladies!  Very inspirational!  And great interpretations of the sketch...I am so lucky to have the best team on the web!  I am excited to see what our viewers come up with.  Remember, everyone, our challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter here or on our Facebook page.

See you later.

Challenge #281

Happy Tuesday to everyone! Hope your week has started off well. You may have noticed some changes to our blog design.  It was time to freshen things up a bit, and our new design fits nicely with our design team badge  designed by Crystal.  Here it is:
You will find this badge on each of our designers' websites.  Isn't it just the coolest design?  Thanks so much, Crystal!

Here is our photo for the week.....since our optional theme is "Anchors Away", here is a representative photo:

On to our top three for challenge #279....Here they are (in random order):

Donna (from Facebook)

And honourable mention to:
Shelly

I LOVE it when there are so many entries that we have to choose an honourable mention!  Congrats, ladies , and thanks to all who participated this week!

Now, for this week's sketch:
And, once again, the OPTIONAL theme is "Anchors Away".
Here are the cards from our talented team.  I am sure you will find them inspiring:

Wow!  Awesome cards and great inspiration, team!

I have a surprise for everyone....this week we have a guest designer as well -  Donna Kempf Sholz, a regular contributor to our Facebook page.  Here is Donna's card:
Very cool and nautical!
And here is what she has to tell us about herself:
Donna Scholz (pronounced ‘schōltz’) retired 18 months ago and moved back to Boise, ID after working as a cyber security program manager. She has been making cards to celebrate life’s milestones for more than 20 years. She also scrapbooks to relive the wonderful moments on cruises she and her husband have taken around the world. She has a 4 year old granddaughter in the Bay Area, and a 16 month old granddaughter who lives just two miles away..

Thanks, Donna for joining us this week. Be sure to stop by Facebook and leave her some great comments, everyone.

Remember, this challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter below (using the linky) or by posting your card on our Facebook page.

Have a great week and happy creating!!!!!!
